Today, Warren took his first bath. Aunt "B" and mommy worked as quickly as possible but, as you can see from the pictures, Warren was not happy with us. His daddy said he would have no part of the torture we were inflicting. I sure hope he gets used to this soon...

The First Few Days
Thomas and I brought Warren home on Friday, February 23, and the first few days were very hectic. Between feedings every 3 hours and Warren not wanting to sleep in his Pack N Play, we have been very sleep deprived. Thomas actually slept in the recliner holding Warren for the first couple of nights. Luckily we've had some help from my mom and sister and Thomas's mom. I don't know what we would have done without them...
These pics are ones we took when the great-grandparents came to visit on Saturday after we came home from the hospital.
Thomas's grandfather was a pilot in the Army and Warren's room is decorated in airplanes, so Thomas's mom had his grandfather's Army jacket put in a shadowbox to hang in Warren's room.

Arrival of Warren Thomas Holcombe
At 1:00am on February 21, Thomas and I headed to St. Francis Women's Hospital because my water broke. By 8am I had my epidural; and by 11am I was fully dialated. The nurses made me "labor down," or stop pushing long enough for my doctor to get to the hospital. The doctor arrived at 11:25 and I was allowed to start pushing again.
At 12:07pm, Thomas and I were proud to welcome our new little bundle of joy--Warren Thomas. He weighed 6 lbs. 10 oz. and was 21 in. long. He is perfect in every way!!! His hospital pictures can be viewed at http://www.growingfamily.com/webnursery/babypage_view.asp?URLID=7R9F8Z8V7R. The password is holcombe.
We can't wait until we can bring him out to meet everyone! Hopefully it won't be too long... :)
